In 1994, Edmonton Transit received an additional 16 D40LF's, #243-258. Similar to the 1993's, they are powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and ZF 4HP500 transmission. One difference with these buses is the glass on the rear door only goes from the top to the middle of the door. These buses are also being refurbished right now. #243 and 255 were painted in the new paint scheme for the launch of the revamped transit system in 1997, but have not been rebuilt yet.
